MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS 1ST NOVEMBER 2021
The municipal elections on 1 November 2021 marked a turning point in the political history of South Africa since the advent of democracy.
The ANC, the historic party in power since 1994 achieves its worst score with 46% of the vote and lost control of major metropolises, such as Pretoria and Johannesburg, for the benefit of coalition Governments.
A real challenge then arises within these municipalities; political parties now having to make an alliance and govern together.
