LAUNCH OF THE NANTSA VACCINE MANUFACTURING CAMPUS

It is today that South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and Dr P Soon-Shiong inaugurate in Cape Town the NantSA production site for pharmaceuticals, biologicals and vaccines and launch the Coalition to Accelerate Access to advanced health care "Coalition AAAH".

The initiative is ambitious and aims to strengthen “advanced” healthcare infrastructure across the African continent.

With the support of the Chan Soon-Shiong Family Foundation, centers of excellence for infectious diseases and cancer will be created in the universities of Cape Town, and the Witwatersrand, "Wits" (Johannesburg). The Chan Soon-Shiong Center for Epidemic Response and Innovation, the CSS CERI will also be implemented at the University of Stellenbosch.
